E-Warranty Terms
The full terms of the COREX coating warranty — what is covered, what is not, and how to make a claim.
These are the full terms of the COREX E-Warranty. They apply to every coating applied by an authorised COREX installer and registered in the COREX warranty system. Please read them alongside the certificate you were issued.
1. What is covered, and for how long
The warranty term is determined by the product applied to your vehicle:
| Product | Technology | Hardness | Warranty |
|---|---|---|---|
| COREX Ceramic 10H | Nano ceramic (SiO₂) | 10H | 3 years |
| COREX Graphene 10H | Nano graphene | 10H | 4 years |
| COREX Borophene 10H+ | Nano borophene | 10H+ | 5 years |
The term runs from the date of application shown on your certificate, not from the date of purchase or the date of registration.
All three products are imported and marketed by Abrasive Solution Enterprises, country of origin South Korea, net quantity 50 ml. The manufacture date and best-before date are printed on each pack.
Best before is not the warranty. The best-before date printed on the pack is the shelf life of the unopened bottle. The 3, 4 or 5-year warranty above runs from the date the coating is applied to your vehicle. They are two different periods.
2. What the warranty covers
We warrant that, for the term stated on your certificate and subject to these terms, the coating will:
- Remain bonded to the treated surfaces without peeling, flaking or delaminating
- Retain its hydrophobic behaviour — water beading and sheeting
- Retain its gloss, allowing for gradual and normal reduction over the term
- Resist UV degradation, oxidation and yellowing of the coating layer
- Resist environmental contamination such as industrial fallout and road grime
- Resist chemicals and acids within the limits stated in the product documentation
- Be free from defects arising from the application itself
3. What the warranty does not cover
The coating is a protective layer over your paint. It is not armour, and it cannot repair or improve what is underneath it. This warranty does not cover:
- Scratches, stone chips, and impact or accident damage
- Swirl marks and wash marring caused by improper washing technique
- Pre-existing paint defects, or any area that has been repainted or refinished
- Bird droppings, tree sap, insect residue or industrial fallout left on the surface and not removed promptly
- Mineral water spots caused by hard water, sprinklers or washing in direct sun
- Damage from harsh or non-approved chemicals, including strong solvents, degreasers and acidic wheel cleaners used on paint
- Damage from automatic car washes, particularly those with abrasive brushes
- Clear coat failure or paint failure originating beneath the coating
- Neglect, including prolonged failure to wash the vehicle
- Damage from fire, flood, hail, riot, vandalism, accident or any other external event
- Coating applied to vinyl wrap, PPF, matte finishes or unpainted plastic unless specifically agreed in writing
- Any surface treated after bodywork or panel repair not approved by us
- Commercial vehicles in continuous fleet use, unless agreed in writing
4. Your responsibilities
Cover remains valid only while you meet these conditions:
- Do not wash the vehicle for 7 days after application. The coating continues to cure during this period, and early washing can permanently mark it.
- Wash correctly. Use the two-bucket method with a pH-neutral, COREX-approved shampoo and clean microfibre. Dry with clean microfibre or filtered air.
- Avoid automatic car washes with abrasive brushes.
- Remove contaminants promptly. Bird droppings, tree sap and fuel spills are acidic and will etch through any coating if left.
- Present the vehicle for periodic inspection as advised by your installer, where such inspection forms part of your cover.
- Keep your Warranty ID. It is required to make a claim.
5. Your certificate
On registration you receive a certificate by email, carrying a unique Warranty ID in the format CX-B-26-00147 and a QR code linking to the online verification page.
Anyone can confirm a warranty is genuine at https://corexauto.in/#verify. For your privacy, the public result masks your name, mobile number and registration number.
If you lose your certificate, contact us with your Warranty ID — or your registered mobile number and vehicle registration — and we will re-send it.
6. Transferring the warranty
The warranty covers the specific vehicle and registration number stated on the certificate.
[CLIENT TO CONFIRM: is the warranty transferable to a new owner if the vehicle is sold?] Until confirmed, treat the warranty as non-transferable: it remains with the vehicle only where we have agreed a transfer in writing.
If the vehicle's registration number changes, tell us so we can update the record. A certificate that does not match the vehicle's current registration cannot be claimed against.
7. How to make a claim
- Contact us or your installer promptly, and in any case within 30 days of noticing the problem. Continuing to use the vehicle without reporting an issue may increase the damage and affect your claim.
- Provide your Warranty ID and clear photographs of the affected area, taken in daylight.
- Present the vehicle for inspection. We may need to see it in person to determine whether the coating has failed, or whether the damage is excluded under section 3.
- Be able to show reasonable maintenance. Records of washing products used, or service history from your installer, help significantly.
8. What we will do if a claim is upheld
Where we accept that the coating has failed within its term, we will at our option:
- Re-apply the coating to the affected area, or
- Re-apply the coating to the whole vehicle, or
- Refund the cost of the coating product
Any re-application is carried out by an authorised COREX installer. The original warranty term continues from the original application date; re-application does not restart the term.
9. Limits
Our total liability under this warranty is limited to the cost of the coating and its application. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of use of the vehicle, hire costs, loss of value, or loss of profit.
Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. When cover ends
Cover ends when any of the following happens:
- The warranty term expires
- The vehicle is sold or transferred, unless a transfer has been agreed in writing
- The conditions in section 4 are not met
- The coated surface is repainted, wrapped or refinished
- The warranty is cancelled — for example where it was issued in error, or where the information given at registration proves to be materially incorrect
A cancelled warranty shows as Cancelled when verified online, and the certificate is marked void. We retain the record permanently.
