Privacy Policy
How COREX collects, uses and protects your personal information.
This policy explains what personal information COREX collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. It is written to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Who we are
Abrasive Solution Enterprises, trading as COREX ("we", "us", "our"), of [REGISTERED ADDRESS], operates the website https://corexauto.in and the COREX E-Warranty system. For the purposes of the DPDP Act we are the Data Fiduciary for the information described below.
2. What we collect, and why
2.1 When a warranty is registered for your vehicle
When an authorised COREX installer applies a coating to your vehicle and registers the warranty, we record:
- Your name
- Your mobile number
- Your email address — only if you choose to give one
- Your vehicle make, model, colour and registration number
- The product applied and the date of application
- The installer who carried out the work
Why: to create and deliver your warranty certificate, to allow the warranty to be verified later, and to process any claim you make. This is the performance of the warranty contract between us.
An email address is optional. If you prefer not to give one, your certificate is delivered on WhatsApp instead. You can ask us to add an address later and we will email your certificate then.
2.2 When you make a dealer or distributor enquiry
If you complete the enquiry form we record your name, business name, city, phone number, email address, your message and the IP address the enquiry came from.
Why: to respond to your enquiry, and to detect and block automated spam submissions. This is with your consent, given when you submit the form.
2.3 When you verify a warranty
The public warranty lookup does not require an account. We temporarily record the IP address of lookups solely to limit the rate of automated requests. These records are deleted automatically within 24 hours.
2.4 What we do not collect
We do not collect payment card details, government identity numbers, biometric data, or location data. We do not run advertising or analytics profiling cookies. We do not buy personal data from third parties.
3. How your warranty details are shown publicly
Anyone holding a Warranty ID can check that the warranty is genuine at https://corexauto.in/#verify. To protect you, the public result masks your personal details:
- Your name appears as, for example, Raj••• S.
- Your mobile number appears as 98••••••10
- Your registration number appears as GJ01••1234
The product, dates, installer and warranty status are shown in full, because they identify the coating rather than you. This masking exists so that a warranty number alone can never be used to look up a stranger's name, phone number or vehicle.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where it is necessary:
- Our hosting and email provider — Hostinger, which stores the website, the warranty database and our email. Our servers are located in India.
- The installer who applied your coating — so they can service your warranty and handle a claim.
- Where the law requires it — for example in response to a valid legal order.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
5. How long we keep it
| Information | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Warranty records | The warranty term (3, 4 or 5 years) plus 3 years afterwards, so that historic claims and disputes can be resolved. Warranty records are treated as commercial records and are not deleted while a warranty is live. |
| Warranty certificates (PDF) | The same period as the warranty record they belong to. |
| Dealer enquiries | Up to 2 years from your last contact with us, then deleted. |
| Rate-limiting records (IP addresses) | 24 hours. |
| Database backups | 30 days on a rolling basis. |
6. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act 2023 you have the right to:
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to correct anything inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
- Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data, where we are not required to keep it
- Grievance redressal — complain to us about how we have handled your data
- Nomination — nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time
To exercise any of these, email contact@corexauto.in. We will respond within 30 days.
Please note: if you ask us to erase a warranty record while the warranty is still live, we will have to cancel the warranty, because we cannot honour a warranty on a vehicle we hold no record of. We will tell you before doing so.
7. How we protect it
- The whole site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection
- Warranty certificates are never publicly listed — each is reachable only through a unique, unguessable link
- The administration area is password-protected and locks after repeated failed sign-ins
- Every action taken on a warranty record is logged with the user, time and IP address
- The database is backed up nightly, and backups are stored outside the public website
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the Act requires.
8. Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep your session secure while you use forms on the site, and to protect those forms against cross-site request forgery. It contains no personal information and is deleted when you close your browser.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party profiling. If we add website analytics in future, this policy will be updated first.
Our contact page embeds a Google Maps frame showing the location of the facility where the products are manufactured. When that map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy rather than this one. The map loads only when you scroll to it, and nothing else on the site depends on it.
9. Children
Our services are intended for vehicle owners and businesses, and are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Grievance Officer
As required by the DPDP Act 2023, you may contact our Grievance Officer about any concern regarding your personal data:
| Name | [GRIEVANCE OFFICER NAME] |
|---|---|
| contact@corexauto.in | |
| Phone | +91 96629 94309 |
| Address | [REGISTERED ADDRESS] |
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date it was last changed is shown at the foot of this page. If we make a material change to how we use your data, we will tell you directly where we can.
